At Solar we are proud to present the next generation of wholesaling: the Integrated Workflow System. Symbolised by a seemingly simple circle divided into 3 steps, the system challenges the traditional role of the wholesaler and questions the conventions to ensure you optimal results.

No two companies work in the exact same way. We need to know the workflow of each customer thoroughly. And we can only achieve that by engaging in a close collaboration and by asking questions. Before any decisions are made regarding solutions, Solar and the customer will go through each of the customer’s Touch Points – that is: areas within his enterprise, the efficiency of which determines the efficiency of other areas. The Touch Points are shown on the right side of the IWS model and include areas such as ordering, purchase planning and stock management to name a few.

If any inefficiencies are found, Solar will suggest different possible solutions based on the understanding of the customer’s workflow gained in step 1. We have a wide range of Product and Service Concepts, shown on the left side of the IWS model, to choose from to fit the customer’s need. Sometimes, we adjust a concept to fit the customer, other times, the customer adjusts his workflow to fit the concept – either way, these are decisions we make together.

The optimal solution is the one that is right for the customer here and now. Together we discuss the pros and cons of implementing different combinations of solutions. One may be good in the long run, but too cumbersome to implement at the current stage, and others may do the job right away. The goal is not to implement as many solutions as possible, but to identify the right ones that will optimise the customer’s workflow.
