Are you a financial controller or accountant with flair for business processes and love working with data and reporting?
Do you want to play a key part in driving our change towards pricing excellence, in close collaboration with international colleagues in multiple functions? Then this might be the right position for you!
The Chargeback Specialist role
As a Chargeback Specialist in the Margin Management team, you will be working closely with key stakeholders in the organisation to advance understanding and performance of our pricing practices and pricing concepts.
This exciting opportunity involves working with stakeholders in handling specific pricing / discount arrangements between Solar vendors and customers, and the procedures involved in mitigating chargebacks. In the Chargeback Specialist role, you will be managing, processing and analysing chargebacks daily to ensure timely and accurate credits to Solar receivables.
• Support the accuracy and efficiency of the chargeback process including registering, validating, preparing and calculating claims towards vendors and settlement of claims
• Review and follow-up on issues to maximise the recovery of chargebacks
• Keep overview, manage and update chargeback agreements
• Prepare and analyse chargeback summary reports to identify trends and patterns causing pricing discrepancies, margin losses or opportunities
• Assist Finance with monthly reconciliations of accounts receivable, as well as month-end reporting
• Collaborate with Category Management, Market Management and the Sales department to understand, challenge and develop competitive chargeback processes and strategies
• Identify simplification and alignment opportunities in the way we handle chargeback processes globally
We are looking for a candidate with an analytical mind and business acumen. To succeed in the position, we believe a degree in accounting, business, finance or related field would be beneficial. Relevant experience may however compensate for lack of formal education. You would also have acquired 1-2 years’ working experience with accounts receivable, deductions, collections, financial controlling or similar. Previous knowledge of financial procedures and practices related to chargebacks in the sourcing or distribution industry is considered an advantage.
As you will be working with documentation, terms and agreements, we imagine that you are able to maintain overview, whilst at the same time being detail-oriented with a vigilance for ensuring accurate work.
We expect you to be proactive in raising issues, and have the courage to challenge your colleagues and stakeholders. You are a structured person who enjoys solving problems, identifying root causes, and are able to motivate and connect with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. You have extensive working knowledge of Excel, and preferably experience with SAP.
The work location is Gardermoen, Norway. We are an international organisation with colleagues in different countries, so it is essential that you can communicate effortlessly with your colleagues in both English and Norwegian.
