Stylish, flexible luminaires that are easy to install - and which also significantly reduce electricity consumption. That was the request when Technopolis had to replace its lighting. The choice therefore fell on Solar Light.

Technopolis is a real estate company that focuses on workplaces. The company is present in five European countries and houses over 1,500 companies with a total of 48,000 employees. Technopolis are experts in creating what they call "holistic workplaces", which in practice means workplaces that contain more than just desks and chairs and that often have shared social spaces.
- You can say that we are for companies that strive for flexible and dynamic workplaces. What sets us apart is that we always offer flexibility and a comprehensive service experience. It is in our DNA, says Raif Aliu, property manager at Technopolis.
Adaptable premises
The company's latest project is a property of 44,500 square meters in Kista, Sweden, which the company bought in 2021. In total, they have invested over SEK 100 million in adapting the premises to their creative expression. The goal has been to create a concept that can easily be adapted to the tenants' wishes.
When it came to the luminaires, Solar was chosen as a partner, and more specifically, the choice fell on products from Solar Light.
- When we chose lighting solutions for this concept building, several factors played a role. First and foremost, the quality of the fixtures. We always strive for durability and reliable products that we can use for a long time, says Raif Aliu.
He continues:
- Then, of course, energy efficiency is important. We want future-proof luminaires with low energy consumption. But I also want to emphasise how important it is with an aesthetically pleasing design in projects like this, meaning a design that fits and complements the architecture. And I really think we found that with Solar Light.
Professional advice
Raif Aliu also values the expertise and advice he received from Solar. Technopolis' original idea was to set up rails on the ceiling, but in consultation with Solar Light's experts, they instead landed on a solution that combines downlights and suspended luminaires. This made the installation considerably easier.
- The solution that Solar Light was able to present fulfilled all our wishes at once. I think it was a really good match.
The work was carried out by Storstadens Elentreprenader. The choice of luminaires fell on products from Solar Light, more specifically Inverso, LQ75 and Flex 44, all with Dali control. With the help of the control, Technopolis also achieves a considerable cost saving, as the lighting can be easily controlled according to different scenarios. The emergency lighting in the property was also supplied by Solar Light.
When Raif Aliu summarises his first collaboration with Solar Light, he states that it worked well, and that it is far from the last time they will work together.
- This whole project has been very satisfying. We received great help, and the result exceeded our expectations. We get a large energy saving, the quality of the fixtures is top notch and it really contributes to creating a good atmosphere in the premises.
