BIMobject Cloud surpasses 1 million users
NEWS November 26, 2018
On Sunday, BIMobject Cloud surpassed 1,000,000 registered users. The initial goal was to surpass the milestone by year end, but the influx of new users has increased. The large user base increases the interest from manufacturers and strengthens the company’s position as the world-leading platform for BIM objects.
The influx of architects, engineers, designers, and other professional users from all around the world continues. They are attracted by the access to high-quality digital copies of building and interior decoration products such as doors, windows, and bathroom fixtures. These objects can easily be used directly in 3D, CAD, and BIM software to develop models and visualize them in, for example, Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). The platform continues to grow and includes around 55,000 product families from approximately 1,300 brands.
“1 million users by the end of the year was an ambitious target, and 2018 has proven to be a fantastic year. We have formed important strategic partnerships, attracted new investors who added both capital and valuable competency, and not least continued to quickly scale up the digitization of the construction and interior decoration industries. With one million users all across the world, we are quickly approaching a critical mass and breakthrough for our solutions – which I know will lead to extensive global productivity and environmental gains”, says Stefan Larsson, CEO and founder of BIMobject.
Since the launch in 2012, BIMobject Cloud has generated approximately 31.1 million downloads and 60 million product views.
