Aibel and Solar

Aibel is a leading service company in the Norwegian oil and gas industry. The company is also well-established within renewable energy and has around 5,000 committed employees working both mainland and offshore. Aibel is located in Stavanger, Haugesund, Bergen, Kristiansund, Stjørdal, Harstad, Hammerfest in Norway as well as in Thailand, Singapore and Denmark.

Solar Norge has entered into a framework agreement with Aibel concerning sourcing and services. The establishment of this agreement is an important contribution to creating value in the future. Through our common objective to make continuous improvements in line with our strategy as a sourcing and services company, we have now established a close and long-term partnership focusing mainly on transaction costs, standardisation, and data exchange.

We have made a service agreement with Aibel in connection with the Ivar Aasen project in the North Sea. We will place materials where the customer needs them by conveniently setting up 20’ containers based on the material list.

We fill up the containers based on Aibel’s list of favourites in Solar Webshop. In practice, Aibel take materials from box 1, and when that one is empty, they order replenishment of the materials, while at the same time starting to use materials from box 2. In this way, the customer is always sure that they have the needed materials available at any time.
