Solar Group is a leading European sourcing and services company mainly within electrical, heating and plumbing, ventilation and climate and energy solutions. We employ 2,900 employees situated in 6 countries. Our core business centres on product sourcing, value-adding services and optimisation of our customers’ businesses. We strive to understand our customers’ unique and genuine needs in order to provide relevant, personal and value-adding services, turning our customers into winners.

Our revenue was DKK 12.2bn in 2025. Solar A/S is listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen with the short designation SOLAR B and has been listed since 1953. The stock is included in the MidCap+ index. The Executive Board of the company is in the hands of CEO Jens Andersen and CFO Michael H. Jeppesen.

Our CO2e reduction targets are approved by the SBTi, and we operate and report in accordance with the CSRD.

Sustainability
Our target is to become Net-Zero in our own operations by 2030 and to reduce our CO2e by 25% across the value chain. Our emission reduction targets were approved by the SBTi.
Our history
Solar Group is more than 100 years old. It all started with Jacob L. Jørgensen, who was a young, visionary business man. He saw how the industrialisation and electrification created a new need, and he founded the trade, import and wholesale company Nordisk Solar Compagni, which sold electricity meters and other electric components. Over the years, the company kept seizing the possibilities that arose to expand and entered several new business areas. Today, Solar is a leading European sourcing and services company mainly within electrical, heating and plumbing, ventilation and climate and energy solutions. Our core business centres on product sourcing, value-adding services and optimisation of our customers’ businesses.
