Sustainability moves forward when we take the time to learn from each other. From September to December 2025, Nina Adelhardt Dalmasso, Sustainability Specialist at Solar Group, spent three months with the MAG45 team in Eindhoven. The purpose was clear: to help set up a solid sustainability structure that aligns MAG45’s efforts with Solar’s ambitions and regulatory requirements, such as CSRD. As a listed company, Solar faces strict compliance obligations – and because MAG45 is fully owned by Solar, those same standards apply to them. At the same time, MAG45 works with major clients, whose sustainability expectations are extremely high. Nina’s role was to bridge these priorities, combining Solar’s experience with MAG45’s operational reality to ensure both companies move forward in the same direction.
“MAG45 operates with a very different business model compared to Solar,” Nina explains. “Being on-site gave me a real sense of their daily challenges and priorities. That insight is essential if we want to support each other in the right way.”
Nina was warmly welcomed by MAG45 employees and by Eftychia Konstantinidou, MAG45’s newly appointed ESG Manager. Together, they worked on sustainability projects and shared best practices to push Solar Group’s ambitions forward.
“It was a great experience to collaborate with Nina,” says Eftychia. “I learned more about how Solar works and how sustainability can drive improvements that benefit both companies.”
Having joined MAG45 seven months ago as the company’s first ESG Manager, Eftychia appreciated the chance to align expectations and create a more unified approach. “This close cooperation helped us make sure our efforts move in the same direction,” Nina adds.

Sustainability is a strategic priority for Solar Group. With a goal of reaching Net-Zero emissions in our own operations by 2030, renewable energy solutions are key. MAG45 is working with Solar to make that happen.
“Phasing out gas remains a high priority for MAG45, and we’re working hard to achieve it,” Eftychia notes.
The collaboration also touched on broader challenges.
“Customers increasingly expect transparent, auditable data on greenhouse gas emissions. As we’re not a manufacturer, finding the right data can be tricky,” Eftychia explains.
Nina and Eftychia explored how upcoming EU regulations will impact the Solar Group and how both entities can stay ahead of complex sustainability topics before they become urgent.

For both Nina and Eftychia, the exchange went far beyond meetings and tasks.
“I felt at home and welcomed from day one. Even though I don’t speak Dutch, it was never a problem because everyone spoke English. Living in the city centre, I quickly got used to cycling to and from work – a true Dutch experience! Eindhoven itself was vibrant and international, full of creative events and things happening all the time. I came back with new friends and memories that will stay with me,” says Nina.
She also recalls the small rituals that made the experience special: “Every day, someone wrote an inspirational quote on the whiteboard in our office. It sounds simple, but those little things made me feel part of the team. It wasn’t just about work – it was about building connections and sharing moments.”
Nina will continue working with MAG45 after returning to Solar. The insights gained during her time in Eindhoven will not only strengthen the partnership with MAG45 but also help build stronger collaboration across other divisions and entities within the Solar Group.
“My stay was just the beginning of our collaboration, and we have only just scratched the surface of the immensity of tasks that still await us, both in Solar and in MAG45,” Nina concludes.
